Drive-in racking, also referred to as drive-through racking, is a professional high-density pallet storage system built for warehouse space optimization. Unlike standard pallet racking, it cuts out redundant forklift aisles, allowing forklifts to drive directly into storage lanes for pallet access. With continuous pallet placement along each lane, it delivers ultra-high space utilization and maximizes warehouse storage capacity in limited areas.

This cost-effective heavy-duty racking is perfect for large-batch, low-SKU, slow-turnover goods, catering to diverse industrial storage needs and helping global businesses cut warehousing costs and boost storage efficiency.

Core Advantages:

Maximize Warehouse Space Utilization

The biggest highlight of drive-in racking is its unbeatable space efficiency. It slashes aisle space by over 50% compared with conventional selective racking, lifting storage density by 60%-80%. It makes full use of both horizontal and vertical warehouse space, turning limited floor area into massive storage capacity, solving the pain point of insufficient warehouse space thoroughly.

Heavy-Duty & Stable Structure

Made of high-strength Q235/Q355 cold-rolled steel, with reinforced column and beam design, this racking boasts outstanding load-bearing performance. The standard single pallet load ranges from 1000kg to 2000kg, sturdy and durable, resistant to deformation, and suitable for long-term heavy industrial storage.

Cost-Efficient & Low Maintenance

No complex automated parts are needed, featuring a simple modular structure that lowers upfront investment and later maintenance costs. It's easy to assemble, disassemble and adjust, delivering a high return on investment for warehouses of all scales.

Customizable & Widely Adaptable

Fully customized to fit your warehouse size, pallet specifications, forklift type and storage demands, with flexible height, depth and lane length options. Supports FILO (First-In Last-Out) mainstream mode and FIFO (First-In First-Out) customized design, adapting to varied storage workflows.

Harsh Environment Resistant

Available with electrostatic powder coating or hot-dip galvanized surface treatment, offering excellent anti-rust and anti-corrosion performance. Ideal for cold storage, freezers, humid and corrosive industrial environments, with a long service life.

Common Questions and Answers

What's the difference between the push-in type shelving and the shuttle type shelving?

Push-in type shelving does not require a shuttle vehicle and has lower costs; shuttle type shelving has a higher level of automation and is suitable for deeper aisles, but the initial investment is higher.

Can the cold storage be used?

Yes, it is fully compatible with -0-15and below cold storage environments.

Can the existing shelves be renovated?

It is necessary to assess the structural strength of the original shelves. It is recommended to have a professional team design a renovation plan to avoid safety hazards.
