A cold room is the most expensive space in your facility every cubic meter is refrigerated, insulated and paid for year after year. Yet most cold storage operators lose that investment twice: once to racking that corrodes from condensation, and once to wasted vertical space that forces a bigger, costlier cold room than the inventory actually needs..

Two things decide whether that investment pays back: how much of the room you actually fill, and how long the steel inside it lasts.

This series specification applies to both. It is implemented after manufacturing, effectively protecting welds and cut edgeswhere corrosion typically beginsfrom condensation, frost cycles, and wash water erosion. The beam height is adjustable in 50 mm increments, allowing frozen pallets of varying heights to fit snugly against the structure and preventing cold air from remaining above each layer of goods. Anchoring and anti-collision protection are standard features, not afterthoughts, as the primary challenge this rack faces is forklifts operating through foggy, icy aisles.

Why Cold Storage Racking Is Different

Cold storage attacks ordinary racking in ways ambient warehouses never do. Condensation drips and freezes, floors stay wet from washdown, forklift operators work in poor visibility and icy conditions, and every empty slot wastes paid refrigeration. Cold-storage-grade racking answers each one:

Cold room challenge

How this racking answers it

Wasted refrigerated space

75 mm adjustable beam pitch packs pallets tight

Forklift impacts in haze/frost

Standard floor anchoring + optional aisle protection

Long equipment service life

Maintenance-free galvanized surfaces

Food-adjacent hygiene

Smooth, cleanable surfaces; open design for airflow

Application Scenarios

1. Chiller Rooms

Dairy, produce and fresh-food storage where condensation is constant. Galvanized frames survive the humidity; adjustable beams adapt to mixed crate and pallet heights.

2. Freezer Warehouses

Frozen food, seafood and ice cream demand dense, accessible storage. High-capacity galvanized bays keep deep-freeze inventory organized and rotation-ready.

3. Cold-Chain Distribution Hubs

Transit cold rooms between transport legs need fast in/out access. Selective beam racking keeps every pallet directly reachable for rapid cross-docking.

4. Blast Chill & Rapid Cool Zones

Rapid temperature-change areas stress coatings hardest. Galvanized-after-fabrication finishes handle thermal cycling without the flaking that painted racking suffers.

5. Pharmaceutical & Temperature-Controlled Storage

Regulated storage requires traceability and cleanable surfaces. Load labels, open frames and galvanized finishes support audit-ready, hygienic cold storage.

Safety & Compliance

Cold rooms punish shortcuts that ambient warehouses forgive here is how the system is specified against that.

Ratings hold at temperature. Load figures on the labels apply in chiller and deep-freeze rooms alike, so nobody has to derate by guesswork when stock moves between zones.

Anchoring and impact protection are specified together. Frosted visors and glare turn aisle collisions into the dominant damage mode in freezers; protecting the upright is cheaper than replacing a loaded bay.

No repainting cycle in a food zone. The galvanized coating is maintenance-free, which removes a recurring shutdown that painted racking forces on operators.

Documentation for auditors. Load calculation, structural drawings, plus CE, ISO 9001 and SGS files on request the paperwork cold-chain and pharmaceutical audits usually ask for.

Seismic anchoring available where local codes require it.
